BIGBANG’s Daesung Says He Plans to Marry Before 40: “I’ll Have to Revise My Entire Life Plan”

BIGBANG member Daesung has opened up about his personal life goals, including a major one, getting married before hitting 40.
Set to appear as a special MC on the April 6 episode of SBS’s hit variety show “My Ugly Duckling,” Daesung makes a lively entrance with a performance of his trot classic “Look at Me, Gwi-soon.” His high-energy dance moves and humor instantly win over the show’s panel of mothers, affectionately called the “Mothers’ Avengers.” They jokingly exclaimed, “This is amazing!” and “My 10-year-old indigestion just got cured!”

Once seated, Daesung gets candid about his long-held life plan, revealing, “Since I was a kid, I’ve always imagined I’d be married before I turn 40.” However, with only three years left before that deadline, he confesses with a laugh, “I’ll have to revise my entire plan.”
In a surprising revelation, he also admits he’s never been on a blind date. “I’ve never done it, not once,” he says, drawing shocked reactions from the cast.
Co-host Seo Jang-hoon then throws him a playful curveball, “If G-Dragon and Taeyang both set up blind dates for you at the same time, whose date would you go on?” Daesung clutches his head dramatically, saying he can’t decide, making everyone in the studio burst into laughter.
As for his ideal type, Daesung shares, “I prefer someone who’s simple and down-to-earth over someone flashy.” He adds with a smile, “There’s one thing I prioritize most when thinking about a life partner,” teasing more insight to come in the episode.

The appearance marks a rare personal interview for the BIGBANG member, who has mostly kept a low profile in recent years. With his trademark humor and sincerity, Daesung shows a more reflective side, one that fans are sure to appreciate.
